I am Michelle Allen-Black and I am the School Social Worker assigned to Bessemer City Central Elementary. My number one goal is to see that your child's basic daily, mental, physical and emotional needs are met to ensure their academic success.
School brings many new opportunities and responsibilities and with that also comes new challenges. I am here to address any concerns or questions that parents or students may have.
Parent involvement and communication with the school and staff is key for your child to have the best possible years and academic growth in school. By being proactive and staying involved you are not only showing support of your child's efforts but also you are able to address issues before they become a problem.
